Legal
Privacy Policy
The legally binding privacy notice is the German version. The information below is a courtesy translation; in case of discrepancies, the German version on the Datenschutz page shall prevail.
We take the protection of your personal data seriously and process it confidentially and in accordance with applicable data protection laws (GDPR, BDSG, TDDDG) as well as with this privacy policy.
1. Controller
The controller in the meaning of data protection laws is:
Thielen Quartier Goch GmbH
Bahnhofstraße 1
47574 Goch, Germany
Email: info@thielen-klima-quartier.de
2. Hosting (Netlify)
This website is hosted by:
Netlify, Inc.
512 2nd Street, Suite 200
San Francisco, CA 94107, USA
When you access this website, Netlify automatically collects information in server log files transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time of the request, time-zone difference to GMT, content of the request, HTTP status code, transferred data volume, referrer URL, browser and operating system. These data are technically required to display the site to you and to ensure its stability and security. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) f GDPR (legitimate interest in technical provision and security).
Based on these server log files, Netlify provides us with anonymous, aggregated audience metrics (Netlify Web Analytics). These are generated exclusively server-side from the log files; no cookies are set, no JavaScript is executed in your browser, and no device-based or personal profiles are created. Only aggregated figures such as page views, the approximate number of visitors, pages viewed, referral sources and not-found addresses (404) are evaluated. We are unable to identify individual visitors. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) f GDPR (legitimate interest in privacy-friendly, anonymous statistics to improve our offering).
As Netlify may process data in the United States, the transfer is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and additionally on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Further information is available in Netlify's privacy policy: https://www.netlify.com/privacy/.
3. Contact form and email contact
When you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide (name, email address, optional phone number, subject, message) in order to handle your request and any follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) b GDPR (initiation of a contractual relationship) or Art. 6 (1) f GDPR (legitimate interest in answering your enquiry). The transmission is encrypted (TLS).
Submissions are received via the Netlify Forms service, temporarily stored at Netlify (see section 2) and forwarded to our email address.
For apartment enquiries, we add you to a waitlist on request and contact you when marketing begins; after submitting, you may receive an automated confirmation email. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) b GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6 (1) f GDPR (legitimate interest in handling your enquiry).
We retain your enquiry as long as necessary to handle it and delete it afterwards, unless statutory retention obligations apply. You may object to storage at any time by emailing info@thielen-klima-quartier.de.
4. Cookies
We only set technically necessary cookies where required for operation — including a cookie of our consent tool (see section 5) that stores your cookie choice. Cookies requiring consent (in particular for Google Ads, see section 6) are only set if you have given prior consent. The audience measurement described in section 2 (Netlify Web Analytics) remains anonymous, server-side and without cookies.
5. Consent management
To obtain and manage your consent we use the consent management tool
Klaro, served exclusively from our own server (no third-party
connection). Klaro stores your cookie choice in a technically necessary cookie
(tkq_consent, stored for up to 180 days) so you do not have to choose again
on every visit. The legal basis is Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG and Art. 6 (1) f GDPR
(legitimate interest in lawful consent management). You can withdraw or change your
consent at any time with future effect via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
6. Google Tag Manager, Google Ads and Google Analytics
For consent-based management of marketing tags we use Google Tag Manager (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The Tag Manager itself sets no marketing cookies; it only governs the loading of other services via Google Consent Mode v2, where all consent-requiring signals default to "denied".
If you consent, we use Google Ads for conversion measurement (detecting whether an ad click led to a contact-form enquiry) and remarketing. This sets cookies and transmits usage data (e.g. a pseudonymous identifier and the conversion event) to Google. Without your consent, no such cookies are set and no data is transmitted to Google for these purposes. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) a GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG; you can withdraw it at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer. A transfer to the USA (Google LLC) is possible and is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and additionally on EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Further information is available in Google's privacy policy.
If you consent to statistics measurement, we also use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) to analyse the use of our website on a pseudonymous basis (e.g. pages viewed, time on page, approximate regional origin, device used). This sets cookies and transmits usage data to Google; your IP address is processed in truncated form only. Without your consent, no analysis via Google Analytics takes place. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) a GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG; you can withdraw it at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer. For any transfer to the USA, the framework stated above applies (EU-US Data Privacy Framework and, additionally, EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
7. Fonts
The font "Josefin Sans" is served exclusively from our own server (self-hosting). No connection is made to Google Fonts or comparable third-party providers; in particular, your IP address is not transmitted to a font provider.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). You may contact us at any time at the address given above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR) — for our location this is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.
9. SSL / TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the "https://" prefix in your browser's address bar and the lock icon.
10. Updates
We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy in order to comply with current legal requirements or to reflect changes to our services.
